Sample Itinerary
Sample Itinerary: July 13-18, 2025 (please note that this is a guideline that could be subject to small change. The goal is to provide you with the best chances for wildlife encounters and landscape photography and sometimes things need to be moved around or altered)
July 13th - Arrive in Anchorage, AK to be welcomed by Seth & Aaron. We will immediately drive to Homer to prepare for the following day's bear viewing tour. This is a travel day but we will stop along the way for breathtaking scenery, food, etc.
July 14th - We will head out from Homer, AK across the Cook Inlet by boat to Lake Clarke National Park where we will spend the day on foot with an experienced guide where we will have the chance to be up close photographing brown bears along the coast. Please bring muck boots!
July 15th - Rough weather can sometimes prohibit bear viewing expeditions. We have this day as a backup day for bear viewing in case the previous day was cancelled due to weather. If we were successful in yesterday's bear viewing expedition, today will be a travel day to Seward where we will be exploring the Russian River, a hotspot for bear viewing and photography. We will also stop and visit the Palmer Lake Trail.
July 16th - We will spend the day on a marine wildlife cruise in Kenai Fjords National park viewing and photographing marine wildlife and birds such as sea otters, humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, puffins, and bald eagles.
July 17th - We will explore more of Seward and the surrounding glaciers such as Exit Glacier and the harbor and its wildlife inhabitants. Both nights in Seward we will be staying at a wonderful chalet with access to a mobile sauna and cold plunge.
July 18th - Wake up in Seward and take the iconic coastal classic train along the Alaskan rail to Seward. Say our goodbyes and proceed to our flights home.
